When do you need Faith?
Without faith, it’s impossible to please God. So many times we say we believe, although at the end of the day we often fall short of the very intentions that we desired.
This is none other than the bait for stress. It all starts in our mind. Do we really believe that we will achieve our most sought after goals and dreams? Well, I believe that prayer is the key to exercise our faith. Scripture teaches us that “Now” faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Now is always instant and present.
We must exercise immediate faith if we are to experience relevant consistent results. Will we always see the tangible manifestation of what we are asking for? Not in the physical every time although the spiritual realm, on the other hand, is always being affected. This also will cause us to develop an increase in our faith after we see it come to fruition later because the spirit is making intercession for us.
Here are some enemies of the faith.
- Only having knowledge of the word, but not doing it
James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
2. Doubt or unbelief
Matt 13:54-Matt 13:58 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? …..
3. Fear
Matt 14:25-Matt 14:27 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit, and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
4. Sense knowledge- requires sense evidence
John 20:24-25 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
5. The wrong understanding of Hope- I hope I get healed!
Ps 119:114 KJV Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
We must always stand on what the Logos word of God says even if there isn’t a tangible evidence that’s manifested. His word is still true. Our hope is to always flow in the Now realm in order for it to activate our belief system.
