The Principles of the Doctrine Of Christ (Repentance From Dead Work)

Hebrews 6:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

And this will we do, if God permit.

This teaching will be about repentance from dead works. We will share with you how important it is to be assured that after you have sought the Lord that his Spirit will draw you and then you are truly transitioned.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

God is building a House

1 Peter 2:Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

What repentance is not

There is a difference between preference and conviction. Conviction comes by the Holy Ghost and you respond by repentance. We don’t convict ourselves; we condemn ourselves. Condemnation is a building term, a building or house not fit to be lived in is condemned.

  • Repentance is Not being sorry when caught doing wrong.
  • Repentance is Not mental or intellectual knowledge or awareness.
  • Repentance is Not emotional
  • Repentance Not being religious
